Horse Riding in the Mountains

It’s been a very achy day today in Udaipur. Today Akeel and I got the opportunity to go horse riding in the hills and mountains of Udaipur. It was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity. Riding in such awesome scenery is not something you do every day.

Language, Taxis and Tips in India

Being in a country with diverse languages is truly a blessing.  According to Census of India of 2001, 30 languages are spoken by more than a million native speakers, 122 by more than 10,000.  I think I have now added another to the list making it 123…Lol… Throughout India the only common language is Hindi therefore its safe to say that It appears that broken Hindi unites people across India…..

A City in the Mountains

Before I start writing about my experiences today, I would like to extend my condolences to Fehmida Virjee, Shahida Molu and Hussein Fazal. On Sunday I heard the sad news of the passing of Zehra bai  Darweshali Rashid. She was the mother of Shahida Masi, Fehmida Masi and Hussein Mama. She was also the sister of my dear Nanabapa (Grandfather), Noorali Bhamani and the fui (aunt) of my mum. I ask all my readers to keep the family in your thoughts during this difficult time.

Rain, Trains and A View Not To Forget

Its been our first day of travelling today and I feel as if I’m starting to see the real India. In Bhavnagar I feel I was a bit reserved, but now as I am travelling I have started to see new cultures, I have met some amazing people and I’ve eaten some amazing food. Lol
